not wearing beige

Being forced to hasten my pace during my morning dressing escapades has caused me to reanalyze my wardrobing situation(s). Not only am I not thinking through every step of my preparation *process*, but I’m also reaching for slouchy knitted things…because during school, I like to be kind of comfortable.

Considering the fact that my classes are pretty much all comprised of 4 hour design studio courses, I’m not going to lie by saying the prospect of lounging around in sweatpants isn’t mighty appealing. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m at that point in my life where I can allow myself to wear super bummy clothes around in public.

Let’s be honest here. Not only DO I own a plethora of sweatpants in a multitude of fits and colours, but the majority of my pants actually DO resemble pajama pants/lounge pants/lazy pants/stupid pants, but am I about to step out of my house wearing a coordinating blush pink and navy sweatsuit combo that I may or may not be sporting at this very moment??!!?! No. The answer is no.

So here I am, wearing a couple of my slouchiest/knittyest/comfortableist pieces of clothing. Figured I should wear them at the same time to optimize my comfort level…especially since I had to make the horriblehorriblehorrible trek to Oakville yesterday. In case you care, I’m in the fourth year of my Bachelor of Design degree joint at York University & Sheridan College. Being…not from Oakville, my commute to Sheridan totals approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes (roundtrip). It’s all kinds of horrible and I hate it, but at least yesterday’s class was kind of interesting.

Since I’m (finally) graduating this year, we’re carrying on the ~tradition~/norm of hosting our “grad show”; which is essentially a conglomeration of all the work we’ve done in the past 4 years. More details later, but I’m excited for various reasons and can’t wait to share with you the fruits of my labour!!! (no).

Mink Pink shawl, H&M dress, H&M Dragon tattoo boots

On another note, can someone tell me if I really look like a gradient person IRL? My skin is encompassing approximately 14 different shades of orange in these pictures and I’m very confused. Thanks in advance.

I know what that’s like! I’m in the UofT/Sheridan Art & Art history program, and I commute from Hamilton. Not fun…considering I have 2 days where I have class 9am-12pm, then 6pm-9pm at Sheridan. I definitely know how you feel!

Love the outfit too, looks very cozy and stylish.
