velvet

I maintain the belief that these velvet pants were a completely practical purchase. Coupled with this tapestry-like cape, I was essentially walking around looking like a reject from a fabric-weaving shop…or something. Do those even exist? Excuse my naivety.

As I write this, I am sitting in Amy’s kitchen, observing her as she makes two mugs of ‘Coco Chai’ tea from David’s Tea (THE BEST!!!). We depart on a long-awaited trip to Florida tomorrow morning, and we’ve essentially been jumping around screaming for the past 12 hours. I usually hate Monday mornings & 8:30am classes, but even with my rolling luggage and carry-on in tow through the lonely/sterile hallways at school, bringing myself to function after 2.5 hours of sleep was surprisingly not that difficult…
